

Summer is the season between spring and fall. In the Northern Hemisphere, summer begins on either June 20 or June 21. During the summer months, the Northern Hemisphere gets more direct sunlight and more hours of daylight. The weather gets much warmer in many areas.
Summer is usually the warmest season of the year. In most countries, children are off from school during the summer months. Many people plan vacations and spend more time outdoors. Summer continues through July, August, and part of September.
